a) Wood Stars. Our Most Favourite of all!

Hanging stars on the wall will look lovely, and it goes well with almost all basic home decors. These are available online, so you can pay and buy a pair. But the problem is, it is too expensive! The better way is to get a beautiful wooden star made just at your home, with the basic woodworking tools.

The only point to note here is with the angles and cuts that you have to make. Make a 5 pointed star with all the angles precisely done. You will require one wedge jig for this purpose. Otherwise, the work won't be done. Set the wedge jig, and make a steep angle cut. After this, set a miter saw and make the second angle.

Now, you need to flip the wood, do all the measuring again and proceed to cut. Repeat the same for the remaining stars, set the pieces vaguely and check if it fits properly.

b) Vertical Hanger for Wine Bottles

This one is classier and for all the wine lovers out there. This is the most simplest DIY you can try out, but the only condition is that you will need some extra space for the installation. Cut out a rectangular piece of wood, in a vertical shape with the right dimensions.

Choose the dimension that matches with your wall space, as not everyone will have the same dimension. Then you will require some hooks, arrange a total of 6 - with two hanging hooks in one line. Finally, you will get a shelf with three rows, each with two hooks on it.
